Temperament and early information processing: Temperament-related attentional bias in emotional Stroop tasks ¬リニ
نویسندگان
چکیده
Two emotional Stroop tasks (EST) using different stimuli (valent words and emotional faces) were used to study relations of EST-interferences with temperament and current mood. In both studies (N1 = 121 and N2 = 124), the reliability of the attentional bias measures was improved by employing individually trimmed means to calculate interference scores. Across the two studies, relations were found between temperament and attention to unpleasant and pleasant information. 2007 Published by Elsevier Ltd.

Prediction of Suicide Ideation Based on the Attentional Bias in Clinical and Non-clinical Populations
Objectives: This study aimed to predict the suicide ideation based on the attentional bias in clinical and non-clinical populations. Methods: Participants were 120 individuals (77 women and 43 men, age range 18-40 years) who were purposively selected and divided into three groups of clinical-suicidal (n=40), clinical non-suicidal (n=40) and non-clinical (n=40). They were measured by Suicide St...

Although attention bias towards threat has been causally implicated in the development and maintenance of fear and anxiety, the expected associations do not appear consistently. Reliance on a single task to capture attention bias, in this case overwhelmingly the dot-probe task, may contribute to this inconsistency. Comparing across attentional bias measures could help capture patterns of behavi...
متن کاملMaternal anxiety predicts attentional bias towards threat in infancy.
Although cognitive theories of psychopathology suggest that attention bias toward threat plays a role in the etiology and maintenance of anxiety, there is relatively little evidence regarding individual differences in the earliest development of attention bias toward threat. The current study examines attention bias toward threat during its potential first emergence by evaluating the relations ...
متن کاملThe Association Between Suicidal Behavior, Attentional Control, and Frontal Asymmetry
It can be difficult to identify those at risk of suicide because suicidal thoughts are often internalized and not shared with others. Yet to prevent suicide attempts it is crucial to identify suicidal thoughts and actions at an early stage. Past studies have suggested that deficits in attentional control are associated with suicide, with the argument that individuals are unable to inhibit negat...

Objectives: The aim of the present research is to analyze the predictability of suicide attempt, based on attentional bias in clinical and non-clinical population. Materials and Methods: 120 participants (77 females and 43 males) have been intentionally selected in three diagnostic groups: clinical suicides, clinical non-suicides and non-clinical ones (40 individuals in each group). They pa...
